Young Professionals of Johnson City was created to make it easier to meet people during one of the most transitional stages of life. Whether you’re new to the area or simply looking to expand your circle, YPJC creates welcoming spaces where conversations happen naturally and connections grow over time.

Because the truth is, careers grow faster when you have people around you who support your goals. Communities become stronger when people feel connected to the place they live. People become leaders when they step outside their comfort zones.

No pressure. No expectations. Just a community of people figuring it out together.

What We Do

For just $75 a year, membership opens the door to experiences, relationships, and opportunities that help you build both your career and your community.

Fun Events

No stiff networking here. From socials and outings to unique local experiences, our events make meeting people feel natural and enjoyable.

Intentional Programming

Our 21–40 age range isn’t meant to be restrictive. It helps us create programs that speak directly to this stage of life.

Workshops, seminars, and conversations with experienced leaders help members build skills that matter both at work and in life.

Through our connection with the Johnson City Chamber and local leaders, YPJC helps members step into rooms and opportunities they might not otherwise access.

Membership Your Way

There are no mandatory meetings or attendance requirements. Come when you can and participate in the experiences that speak to you.

We promise you’ll feel the value of that $75 investment after just 3 events, and we have about 4-6 every month! If this cost is a barrier to you, please reach out to explore scholarship opportunities.

Who is YPJC for?

It is probably broader than you think.

You do not have to wear a suit, sit in a cubicle, or follow a traditional career path to be a young professional. Around here, the term simply describes a stage of life.

If you are between 21 and 40 and you live, work, or spend time in Johnson City, you belong here.

Our members include entrepreneurs, creatives, healthcare workers, educators, engineers, service industry professionals, remote workers, and everything in between. What brings them together is a shared desire to grow, connect, and feel invested in the future of this community.

Rooted in the Community

Young Professionals of Johnson City is a program of the Johnson City Chamber and is proudly supported by the City of Johnson City.

Because of these partnerships, YPJC members are uniquely connected to the businesses, leaders, and organizations that help shape our community. It also allows the program to offer meaningful experiences and opportunities while keeping membership affordable and accessible.
