Under the Night Sky: An evening of introspection & stargazing

Did you know we have an observatory in Johnson City?

Tucked among ETSU’s Warren-Greene Golf Center sits the Harry D. Powell Observatory, and on February 5th, it’s YP’s for the evening!

The program would be mostly outside so bundle up! We will view Saturn, Neptune, deep sky objects, and constellations. Dr. Gary Henson (ETSU Astronomy Department) will also lead us in a discussion about our place in the universe. Reflect on the humbling reality of our tiny place in a vast cosmos and suddenly it changes how you approach ego, conflict, urgency, and priorities.

Location: Harry D. Powell Observatory
Time: 7-8:30 p.m.
Date: November 12

This event is for YPJC members only
Registration is required – space is limited.
